Here at Tourism Media HQ, we are pretty hard to impress when it comes to awesome travel photos.
Day after day we see amazing images from all over the world and after a while it becomes almost routine.
But this image from Kristin in Lapland in the Arctic Circle got the thumbs up from even our hardened photo editors.
And to make it even more impressive, you can read what she went through to get it. Who knew there were mosquitos in Lapland!
“I just got in from what was possibly the shortest midnight sun shoot ever — there were so many mosquitos around the lake that one of my eyes is now nearly swollen shut from bites! I’ve attached an image that shows that it was probably worth it though. I’ll just have to get better bug spray.”
